PBL Semester 4 — IoT Automatic Watering

The Problem

Traditional plant watering is often inconsistent, leading to water waste or plant dehydration, especially in large-scale academic environments.

The Solution

Integrated hardware sensors with a Laravel-based dashboard using MQTT protocol for real-time monitoring and automated control.

Challenges

  • Synchronizing sensor data with the web dashboard with minimal latency.
  • Managing a multidisciplinary team of hardware and software developers.

Impact

Successfully demonstrated a working prototype that reduced manual labor for plant maintenance.
